Mahinda Aneysinghe (instructor)


Mahinda Aneysinghe spent several years in the television industry as an Assistant Director & Director. After finishing his Higher National Diploma in Film & Television at Digital Film Academy of Sri Lanka Foundation, he entered the cinema industry as a Director of Photography. His unique and expressive images quickly enable him to work with many young film directors in Sri Lanka. Several projects that Mahinda collaborated as Director of Photography were screened and awarded in film festivals, locally and internationally. He is the cinematographer of Jude Ratnam's award winning 'Demons in Paradise', a documentary feature film, which was selected Cannes Film Festival in official selection in 2017. 2018, he shot director King Ratnam's 'Komaali Kings' first wide released Sri Lankan Tamil language film after 1976. Next feature film he shot, 'Single Palm Tree' directed by Puthiyavan Rasiah produced by RSSS Pictures UK was screened in several film festivals worldwide and won awards including Best Cinematography award in SFAAF Film Festival, Chile. Also, Mahinda has shot numerous TV commercials with leading TVC directors in Sri Lanka
