Chinthaka Ranasinhaobtained his Sinhala special degree from the university of
Colombo in 2003.and M.A.from linguistic department university of Kelaniya in 2005.He
joined Lake house as a journalist and involved in editing literary supplements and
provided articles for them.
Leaving Lake House ,he worked as an temporary assistant lecturer in Sinhala department of university of Colombo,Buddhist and Pali university and then as a lecture in Staff Development Center of university of Colombo.At that time he got firsthand experience to teach literature for years and joined as a lecturer in Sinhala department of university of Kelaniya in 2009, currently continue the same responsibilities. In 2013 he got Full bright scholarship to go to Cornell university, USA and he was trained in there under guidance of prof. Anne Blackburn 5 months for his post-graduate studies.He presented research papers in India and France in international conferences and published sixteen books and lot of paper articles on various subject in field of literature and arts.
His fultime attention is focused on contemporary Sinhala literature ,western classics (particular 19th century Russian literature ) local classical literature formation of Sinhala intellectual tradition.
